Meet our Coach

Camilla Copeland, BA, MPEd (ABA)

Personal Wellness Coach and Behaviour Consultant

Camilla holds a Masters degree (MPEd) from the University of Western Ontario in Applied Behaviour Analysis and an Honours degree in Psychology and Family and Child Studies from the University of Guelph. Her Lifestyle and Wellness Health Coach credentials were earned at York University's Health Coach Institute. She also possesses a post graduate diploma in Behavioural Science, and has been provincially trained as an Instructor Therapist through the Ministry of Community and Children's Services. She is an avid physical fitness enthusiast and holds Fitness Instructor certifications in both cardio and resistance training disciplines.

Her approach to coaching is collaborative and goal-focused.  Clients decide for themselves what aspects of their life they are looking to change. From there, behaviour based practices are chosen with client values in mind. Camilla takes you from where you are now, to where you want to be.  Permanent habit changes can be difficult, especially in the area of weight loss and healthy living; her solution based approach The Behaviour Way makes the process easier.

She has been in the Helping Field for over twenty years with her early career beginning in residential treatment homes for children with severe behaviour challenges.  It was here where she first realized her passion for helping others, and her desire to follow a behaviour-analytic path in helping her clients make significant behaviour changes.  Over the course of her career she has worked with  all ages and abilities  from 12 months to 80+ years. She has worked within the public school system as a child and youth counsellor, and as an ABA therapist and parenting coach. Her years in private practice has built on this foundation where she focused on  tackling the behaviour concerns of her clients within their own homes and community. Recently she has parlayed  her years of experience in behaviour change theory to creating a wellness program with the goal of helping mentally healthy adults make significant and lasting changes to their the present life situation.

Her primary interests lie in the use of self-management systems to assist individuals with self-regulation and control, and the role wearable technology can play in changing health related behaviours.
